I recently babysat my almost 2 year old nephew for a day last week & for breakfast, he ate blueberries, strawberries & a banana, he chose that over sausage & eggs. Refused the protein actually. For lunch, we went out to eat with his parents & they ordered a kids grilled cheese meal for him & it came with an orange slice on the side. He refused to eat any grilled cheese or fries on the plate, he didn’t eat one single bite but he ate every bit of that orange slice. His mom said “he would only eat fruit if I let him” I grabbed her arm & said “please, just let him eat fruit, he’s smart & intuitive even as a baby, just give him what he wants” she has been giving him fruit whenever he wants it since I left & she said it’s mostly all he eats! Proud aunt here
